Size & fit guide

A good fit starts with the coat you already reach for.

Compare with a coat you own

  1. Choose a coat with the fit you want. Fasten it and lay it flat without stretching the fabric.
  2. Check whether the product chart lists body measurements or garment measurements. Compare like with like.
  3. For a garment bust circumference, measure your coat straight across under the arms and double that width. If the chart lists a flat width instead, do not double it.
  4. Compare the length, sleeve and shoulder measurements where provided. Follow the measuring points shown for that item.

Leave room for your layers

Think about what will sit underneath: a light top, a jumper or a thicker knit. A close-fitting jacket and a roomy coat need different amounts of space.

Check each style separately

Size labels can vary between styles and suppliers. Use the measurements for the individual item rather than assuming that your usual letter size will fit every coat.
