A considered winter outfit starts with a few pieces that work together. Choose a silhouette you enjoy, leave room for the layers underneath and let one detail set the tone.
Start with the shape
For a defined outline, try a tailored coat over a simple top and straight-leg trousers. For a softer look, layer a belted wrap cardigan over a fitted base. Adjust the belt to a comfortable position rather than pulling the knit tightly.
Give a statement piece some space
A leopard jacket can be the focus of an otherwise quiet outfit. Pair it with plain separates in black, cream or brown, then keep the rest of the look simple. A cropped zip-up shape and a longer open-front coat create different proportions, so compare the product photographs and measurements before choosing.
Check the fit with your layers in mind
Compare the garment measurements on the product page with a similar piece you already own. Think about the thickness of the top you plan to wear underneath, the sleeve length and how you want the shoulders to sit. Size labels alone cannot tell you how a piece will fit.
Care for the actual fabric
Read the composition and care instructions for each item. Knitwear, linings and faux-fur trims can have different needs. Follow the garment care label and avoid assuming that one washing method suits every winter layer.
